Day 2. Gibb River Road, Windjana Gorge, Tunnel Creek
Journey on the Gibb River Road to Bandilngan Windjana Gorge National Park and discover Windjana Gorge, where sheer cliffs tower above glistening white sands. Admire the ancient marine fossils embedded in the gorge walls and scour the banks for a glimpse of the freshwater crocodiles that laze on the shores of the Lennard River. Continue to Tunnel Creek, a 50-metre-long natural tunnel carved through the Napier Range, located in the Dimalurru Tunnel Creek National Park. With torch in hand, wade through the cool waters that fill the tunnel’s winding path underground and emerge on the other side to the sight of a stunning oasis. Travel into the Wilinggin King Leopold Range Conservation Park. Covering more than 900,000 acres and featuring seven rugged ranges. Arrive at the first of three APT lodges, Bell Gorge Wilderness Lodge, which boasts an enviable position and a sprawling lawn to relax. Day 3. Bell Gorge, Hiking and Swimming
Back on the Gibb River Road, travel to Bell Gorge, where stunning cliffs surround a series of tiered waterholes. Sitting approximately 300 metres above sea level, Bell Gorge is an idyllic natural spot for swimming and photography. Here you can also enjoy a spot of bird-watching. Should you be feeling particularly energetic, you may take the opportunity to hike to the lower pool of the gorge and enjoy a relaxing dip below the cascading waterfall.

Day 4. Galvans Gorge, Manning Gorge, Drysdale River Station
Travel through the heart of Kimberley cattle country to Galvans Gorge, where a short walk leads to a picturesque waterhole. Admire the rock art adorning the gorge walls or indulge in a leisurely swim. Continue to the beautiful Manning Gorge where you can spot local birdlife as you enjoy lunch in the shade of a gum tree.

Day 5. Mitchell Plateau, King Edward River, Bradshaw Art (Gwion Gwion)
Travel up the Kalumburu Road towards the isolated Mitchell Plateau. Ascending the Mitchell Plateau, explore the Wandjina and Gwion Gwion art galleries. The Kimberley’s rock art is arguably some of the world’s oldest, with evidence suggesting the earliest occupation in the region dates back 50,000 to 60,000 years ago. Swim in the clear waters of the King Edward River. For the next two nights, stay at our Mitchell Falls Wilderness Lodge located at the top of the plateau, which is perfect for wildlife watchers. Day 6. Mitchell Falls, Helicopter Flight

Day 8. El Questro Wilderness Park

Day 10. Piccaninny Creek, Cathedral Gorge
Explore the magic of World Heritage-listed Purnululu National Park and discover the depth of the Bungle Bungle Range today. Walk along Piccaninny Creek as it winds through the high walls of the Bungle Bungle domes. Your next stop is the natural amphitheatre of Cathedral Gorge, a spacious cavern reaching skyward, where the acoustics are astounding. Day 15. Arnhem Land, Hawk Dreaming, Cannon Hill
Accompanied by a local guide, cross the East Alligator River into the magical and spiritual Arnhem Land. This afternoon, return to Kakadu and enjoy the art and billabongs of Cannon Hill and Hawk Dreaming. Day 16. Ubirr Rock Art, Darwin
Today visit the sacred site of Ubirr and explore its galleries of ancient Indigenous rock art.
