Departing Kununurra, head south over Lake Kununurra and the upper Ord River, and on to Lake Argyle, with its many islands and beaches. The natural beauty and sheer size of Lake Argyle provides the perfect opportunity for the ultimate photo. Next overfly some of the vast cattle stations and over the Osmand Ranges, before arriving at the Purnululu National Park and the Bungle Bungle Ranges. Fly in a circular pattern to reveal the spectacular gorges and diverse beauty of the area, which are also rich in ancient artwork and cultural sites. Leaving the Bungles track north towards the extinct volcano that is now the Argyle Diamond Mine, to orbit the birthplace of the famous pink diamonds. Finish flying along the shoreline of Lake Argyle and the rugged peaks of the Carr Boyd Ranges before returning to Kununurra.

Your flight from Kununurra will include the magnificent Ord River, the enormous Lake Argyle, Lissadell Station, the rugged Osmand Ranges, Texas Downs Station and the picturesque circuit over the Bungle Bungle Range. Once landed, transfer to a comfortable 4WD for a tour of the spectacular Beehive Domes and walk into Cathedral Gorge. The walk into Cathedral Gorge is a moderate 3km walk passing over rock ledges, waterholes and eroded potholes before coming to an incredible natural amphitheatre carved out of the sandstone dome walls. Enjoy a pre-made lunch within the Gorge before your return walk to the vehicle. Walk along the bed of Piccaninny Creek, which flows only in the monsoon waterfall season. Return via a scenic flight to Kununurra, on the way viewing the Argyle Diamond Mine where rare pink diamonds.

Departing Kununurra, head south over Packsaddle Plains to Spillway Creek and on to the majestic inland sea that is Lake Argyle. Cross the Osmand Ranges, arriving at the Bungle Bungle Range. Orbit over the park revealing the spectacular gorges and unique beauty of the Bungle Bungles. Track over the Argyle Diamond Mine, then continue to El Questro, an old million acre cattle station turned Wilderness Park, with its famous cliffhanging homestead. Continue downstream along the Pentecost River to Home Valley Station, with the imposing and spectacular Cockburn Ranges in full view to the east. Pass over the historic town of Wyndham and along the lower Ord River to the breathtaking House Roof Hill where much of the movie ‘Australia’ was filmed. From here fly over Ivanhoe Crossing and the Ord Irrigation area before returning to Kununurra.

Feel the vastness and diversity of the East Kimberley by enjoying an early morning scenic flight over Diversion Dam, the prominent Ord River, the mighty Osmand Ranges and orbit over the Bungle Bungle Range. On arrival at the Bungles you will travel by 4WD to the Cathedral Gorge walk and see the Beehive Domes soaking up the morning sun. Lunch will be within the Gorge before returning to the Bungle Bungle Savannah Lodge to relax besides the pool and take in the magnificent Kimberley Sunset. On day 2, while walking the Mini Palms trail, be taken aback by the incredible beauty exhibited. Walk through the distinctive Echidna Chasm where you will be completely enveloped by the massif, with the only light filtering in from above. Returning to the airstrip mid-afternoon, transfer to your aircraft for your return scenic flight over the Ragged Ranges and Argyle Diamond Mine before landing in Kununurra.
